Empowering our Youth Through Sports Ministry and Christian Partnerships

Excitement is in the air as we prepare for an inspiring new chapter in our community! The Seaside Athletic Center is scheduled to break ground in Spring/Summer 2025 with a clear mission: to uplift our youth through sports ministry. This innovative sports complex, created in partnership with Ocean City Baptist Church, Elevate, and Seaside Christian Academy, will foster an environment where young athletes can grow spiritually, physically, and socially.

A Vision for the Future

At the heart of the Seaside Athletic Center lies our commitment to Christian values. Our belief is simple: sports can be a powerful tool in teaching important life skills such as teamwork, perseverance, and integrity. In a world where distractions abound, having a safe, encouraging space to engage in sports while nurturing one’s faith is essential.

The center will feature modern facilities designed for various sports, allowing students to pursue their interests and develop their skills. For example, our basketball court will meet NCAA regulation standards, enabling players to train and compete effectively. Additionally, our multifunctional facility will advance Seaside Christian Academy's growing high school programs, providing a home court for their Fighting Marlins, performance arts stage, and multiple classrooms, including a science and computer lab.

Building a Strong Community

The collaboration between Ocean City Baptist, Elevate, and Seaside Christian Academy is vital for creating a nurturing community atmosphere. Each partner contributes unique strengths: Ocean City Baptist brings a wealth of spiritual guidance; Elevate offers expertise in athlete development; and Seaside Christian Academy provides educational resources. Together, we will foster belonging and unity among youth as they embark on their athletic journeys.

The Seaside Athletic Center is designed as more than just a fitness venue. It will serve as a center for spiritual growth, where faith-based activities like weekly devotionals and prayer groups will nurture strong character. We anticipate that participating in team prayers will cultivate camaraderie and teach athletes that there is more to success than personal accolades.
